Fire Stations Protect Communities
February 6, 2020
Often in place for 50 years or more, and at a cost of around $10 million, a typical firehouse or fire station is one of every community’s best returns on investment. Guardian and several other lightning protection contractors across the country have donated full lightning protection systems to local firehouses.
Speaking of the Hazel Park Fire Station donation in Hazel Park, Michigan, donation, Phil Youtsey said, “Personally, and at the industry leadership level, this was an easy decision. Our systems protect firehouses like any other structure. He emphasized, “But because of the role these structures play in society and in our communities, protecting them is critical.”
Guardian is currently in the selection phase for its next firehouse lightning protection system donation.
