Going Bare

No different than the insurance you purchase for your automobile and home, a lightning protection system is homeowners’ insurance against the catastrophic effects of lightning. In addition to the structure fires so often caused by lightning, a lightning protection system protects a home’s vital electronics from surges. This could include non-essential quality of life systems like air conditioning, heat and Wi-Fi. In extreme cases this includes home ventilators and other assistive medical equipment.
The dangers of going bare are only as consequential as the systems and electronics our lightning protection systems shield. The question for homeowners: How long? How long would you choose to live without the electronics that define our plugged-in life?
How about the kids? Grands?
